Emma Shang is a Chinese born songwriter and producer who studied film production in Vancouver, Canada. She started with self-taught music production and has since been developing her craft at Berklee NYC. Emma has a passion for creating music that touches the soul and speaks to the heart. 

          Emma's music is a combination of different genres that reflects her multicultural background and experiences. She won her first award of Guitar Songwriting Competition in 2018, and is an active songwriter in Chinese music market in various genres including indie, pop, electronic music, etc. One of her work called “The White Planet” in Chinese TikTok 寻声计划, produce & published by ByteDance, got over 12,782,000 viewership within 1 month. Besides songwriting, Emma has won the Excellence Award from Arc Legends Original Score Competition hold by the game company Melting Games. She also won the Best Musical Composition & Score Award and the Best in New Media & Sound Arts Scholarship in Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2023. In the Short Film Show “Reverie”, Emma had been the audiographer for 3 of the 4 award winning short films, including but not limited to sound designer, re-recording mixer, and music composer.
